When I graduated from Paxon Senior High School, I got a full-scholarship to the University of North Florida (UNF). The scholarship was started by two attorneys in Jacksonville named Steve and Gary Pajcic. They were willing to pay for any graduate of Paxon to go to UNF! The year I graduated, approximately 10 people got it but only 2 or 3 actually graduated 4 (or 5) years later.
Yesterday, my mom emailed me and told me that Gary Pajcic has passed away. I felt the need to explain how much this man (and his brother) changed my life without even knowing me. I would hope that if I am ever successful enough to be able to afford something of this nature, that I would have the mindset to give back to my community like these two brothers did.
